Do I have to be an experienced rider to participate?
No. Bike to Work Day is open to all riders. It’s a great opportunity for new and beginning riders to try bicycle commuting for the first time. No matter your experience level, you’ll be in good company. Feeling unsure? Find a Bicycle Convoy
I work from home. Can I still participate?
Yes. You can participate by registering and biking to your local pit stop and then back home. Explore Pit Stops!
What are bicycle convoys?
Bicycle convoys are group rides led by experienced volunteer bicycle commuters. Bike to Work Day participants can join in a convoy without the need to register separately for them. Just meet at the starting point or jump on/jump off along the route. Get Bike Convoy Info!
What if it rains?
Bike to Work Day is a rain or shine event! However, it is at the discretion of the pit stop manager whether to call off their local pit stop under extreme conditions. If a cancellation or relocation is made, your pit stop manager will contact you 24 hours in advance via email. If there’s a hint of rain, you’re encouraged to pack rain gear. Get Ride Day Tips
What if my bike breaks down or I get a flat tire?
Bike to Work Day does not have support staff or volunteers to assist riders with bike repairs. It’s recommended all riders have their bike serviced and all repairs made before the event.

Will there be any leftover T-shirts?
Maybe. The week following Bike to Work Day, you can email your pit stop manager to ask if they happen to have any T-shirts left over and available for pickup.
Please note: Pit stop managers do not have the resources to mail out shirts. WABA and COG/Commuter Connections never have any Bike to Work Day shirts.
Can I request a size for my T-shirt?
No. T-shirt sizes are handed out on a first come, first served basis. Sizes and quantities are determined by the local pit stop manager months in advance of the event. Visiting your local pit stop early will improve your chances of getting the size you want.
